tinobeat - 02/05/08 at 12:38 pm (67.151.118.51) didn't his jaw get fucked up when he was a POW? I don't think there's much on him that wasn't fucked up when he was a POW.

I don't think there's much on him that wasn't fucked up when he was a POW. I dunno, I don't like his politics but he's not really crazier or weirder than any other politician. |

i think alias's comment is in reference to his full-body torture reception
newnoise - 2/5/08, 5:49 am
I thought it was because of a stroke that his face is like that. He totally does look like slimer.
digger - 2/5/08, 5:50 am
What don't you like about him, tino?
newnoise - 2/5/08, 5:52 am
I don't like that he wants to continue the "war on terror." Although if we are going to do it, he's probably best equipped for it.
poopfartz - 2/5/08, 5:52 am
If you watch his presidential race commercial thing, they dont show the left side of his face once.
digger - 2/5/08, 5:53 am
It would seem like he probably has the most empathy for the current soldiers and vets though, no?
tinobeat - 2/5/08, 5:53 am
ender - 02/05/08 at 12:48 pm (66.150.206.1) i think alias's comment is in reference to his full-body torture reception yeah, I realized that after.. .for a second I thought it was more of a snarky comment about his politics. digger, I don't like his trigger-happy foreign policy, and on the whole he's a lot more conservative than I.
digger - 2/5/08, 5:59 am
I can dig it, tino. I'm just saying if there's anything going on with soldiers and armed forces and whatnot, I would tend to trust his experience more than the other candidates, who have maybe read about war...

digger - 02/05/08 at 12:59 pm (18.38.2.103) I can dig it, tino. I'm just saying if there's anything going on with soldiers and armed forces and whatnot, I would tend to trust his experience more than the other candidates, who have maybe read about war... I love that he has the balls to stand up to the torture-endorsing administration and call it as he sees it. I also think he's better with military issues than the current admin, but that, in my mind only means he'll know how to run all the wars he wants to start better, yanno? I totally respect the guy, he keeps out of the partisan demonizing most of his colleagues luxuriate in, and hell, he'd be a step up from the Bush admin if he became president, I would just rather Clinton or Obama get elected.

tintern - 2/5/08, 6:31 am
I highly doubt he wants to start any wars. We do need to finish the two we've already got going though, and I sure as hell think he could do that.
Al - 2/5/08, 6:32 am
100 years, if that's what it takes. and he's the moderate, compared to Romney
lint - 2/5/08, 6:35 am
| don't you remember his hilarious rendition of "barbara ann," entitled "BOMB BOMB
BOMB, BOMB BOMB IRAN"? i sure as hell think that he'll get everyone in this fucking country drafted and sent to tehran if he has his way |
matthew - 2/5/08, 6:44 am
um, probably like botox like the rest of his face
melshocker - 2/5/08, 6:44 am
Al - 02/05/08 at 01:32 pm (68.162.238.225) 100 years, if that's what it takes. and he's the moderate, compared to Romney Well, the thing is that's probably what it would take to achieve our puddingheaded goals over there so it's hard to hold that against him, compared to the "we'll be done in a few months" projections of the current administration ca 2002.

uhuru2u - 2/5/08, 7:08 am
| i listen to a john mcain ad where he was telling the story about how one of his fellow prisoners
sewed an american flag on the inside of his prison clothes, and they would all gather around the
flag in the morning and pledge allegiance to it, and that was what kept them going, and it was the
most important part of the day. then one day the prison guards discovered the flag destroyed it, and severely beat the prisoner. the next time mccain saw him, his face was so swollen he could barely open his eyes, and what was he doing? he was sewing a new flag in his clothes. |
JoeB - 2/5/08, 7:17 am
i would be 100% satisfied with a mccain presidency if all of his speeches consisted of telling mind-boggling war stories
uhuru2u - 2/5/08, 7:36 am
yeah, mcain said if i voted for him, sacrifices like the one made by that brave pow would not be in vain.
