i suppose you could wet a cloth with peroxide and try wiping it with that? that is what I would try first.
Sleepwalk - 7/3/09, 3:44 pm
sounds like the beginnings of a Goosebumps book.
katharine - 7/3/09, 3:49 pm
here are things that i have tried: water, towel, scotch brite, olive oil, tooth paste, hydrogen peroxide

this is like when i accidentally dyed my roots purple because it looked black.

seriously this shit is BRIGHT PINK

Everything I can think of to remove something like that I wouldn't want to put on (or around) my lips, for fear of injesting it.
megs - 7/3/09, 3:52 pm
you might want to try nail polish remover, but be sure not to swallow it, and maybe hold your breath for a second until it evaporates (it's not that toxic, it will just smell strong)

or rubbing alcohol

or something acidic like vinegar could possibly work

baby oil?

this happened to me once. i was in california for a school trip and we had to look professional. i don't normally wear makeup, but i bought red "high-pigment" lipstick from "make up for ever".
their name is very true.
katharine - 7/3/09, 3:55 pm
FOREVER!

the closest thing i have to baby oil is olive oil. maybe babies are the key to removing this

will try vinegar!
emilyviolet - 7/3/09, 3:57 pm
Yeah megs, I was thinking nail polish remover specifically, but I didn't want to suggest it because of the poisonous aspect.

I also thought baby oil, but usually that only works for sticky stuff.

i dont have nail polish remover, i would totally try that at this point

i have to go to the store now, im not that happy about it
pat_odea - 7/3/09, 4:04 pm
wear lipstick over it?
JesseCockforest - 7/3/09, 4:07 pm
Maybe it's like a jelly fish sting and the only thing that can help is pee. I sure hope not, though.

don't use nail polish remover. it's acetone based. which is NOT good for your skin. maybe google hennah removal. I'd suggest trying to open the pores and then clean them. I'm sure there's stuff for that. but I would really recommend AGAINST using solvents (aka acetone, aka nail polish remover). Sometimes you get yourself into a little trouble, and sometimes you can get yourself into much WORSE trouble trying to mess with it. One time I was working with an acetone based liquid/pigment (staining wood) and my hands turned brown for 3 days, then all the skin pealed off in thick leathery sheets. the brown was from the pigment, the peeling was from the acetone.

vinegar didnt work and it made my very-exfoliated lips burn like HELLLLL

it has now been worn down to the point where it is still very pink but not as ridiculous as it was. i am kind of getting used to it.

Witch hazel. You can find it at cvs.

Alcohol will irritate your skin, don't use that.

Purified Organic Linseed Soap / soap specifically for removing oil paint from skin will get it off in a second.

eye makeup remover! like a dual-phase one. lancome bifacils is my fave but there's a neutrogena duplicate that is very very similar.
put some on a cotton round and rub it on your lips in little circles.
it will come off, trust me!

i used to have to wear this serious RED at work all the time and eye makeup remover was the only thing that could get it off.
flips - 7/4/09, 5:12 am
I would have just gone with a good tooth brush exfoliation followed by a lot of lip balm.. then use a dab of concealer/ face powder over that to mute the color for now. It's stain but it goes away eventually.

also an oil based make up remover
