| Hello there. On Monday, 12/22 of this very year, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday. As there are approximately a million bands that I love right here in Boston and I would like to give them all a big hug and party with them on this minorly momentous occasion, and as that is obviously not possible, I am taking over Great Scott for a weekend of many of my favorite local bands. People who like me and/or these bands are encouraged to come and enjoy the festivities and wave farewell with me to my fourth decade on this oblate spheroid of ours. Saturday we have ambitious-yet-still-hummable bands of the highest quality, Sunday will be poptastic melody-driven gorgeousness, and as Monday is my actual birthday I will indulge myself with a mathy-as-fuck progstravaganza culminating in my favorite band in the world.
