| in an effort to get the kick drum from shaking violently when playing, we tried a little something
different with the brace things, but basically halfway through the first song it started drifting
away from me. blacktose was kind enough to squat in front of my drum for half of a seven minute
song and hold it in place. then basically, it was a combination of a wooden doorjam, a large metal box, a monitor, a chunk of cinder block, elbow grease and more before john (guitar) from the perennials managed to rig up two monitors and a brick to keep it in place for the last three songs. so needless to say, we'll be acquiring some motherfucking ballast for our next show. so, it wasn't that big of a deal, but we played on the floor (well jesse and trever did), so if the drum kept going it would've fallen off the stage which would've been pretty awesome. i was thinking about playing gentler but basically nah, so it only really fucked up one song. anyhow! lesson learned |
