| we did our stuff via cdbaby. when you register there and have them sell your CDs you can also sign on for the digital distribution plan. it works great. i wish people wouldn't buy our stuff on itunes though because just buying the CD from is cheaper for them, cooler, and gets more money to us, but hey. if they want it on itunes at least they can get it. |

| here's a handy flowchart: 1. does it involve music? if yes, goto 2 2. does it involve working with a company over the internet? if yes, goto 3 3. does the company have a name that is two words concatenated in this pattern: {synonym for song || something about a community or group}. ie "JamPuddle", "TrackBanana", or "BeatAmoeba"? if yes, goto 4 4. it probably sucks. are you sure it doesn't suck? if yes, goto 5 5. seriously, it almost definitely sucks. does the website involve fonts that look like bubbles? if yes, goto 6 6. i can't even describe to you how overhyped digital music distribution is. basically if you are paying money to a website on the internet for music, and there is something like a pale blue graphic of art deco headphones somewhere, you are fucked. 7. sorry dude! |
